After Interviewing Madam Peng, 80:
The Words I Still Remember
A customer story lets us get to know the person sharing it and her life. If you would like to see porcupine bezoar (also known as porcupine date) for yourself after reading, you’re welcome to book a visit to our Singapore store. You can look at the packaging, see how the three grades (Traditional Grade B, Traditional Grade A and Essence Extraction) differ, and go through the certification documents and test reports.
Not long ago, I interviewed Madam Peng. She is 80 this year and lives in Singapore.
What I Still Remember From the End of Our Conversation
Madam Peng talked about a lot that day. She spoke about things from her younger years, and about a decision her family had urged her to make, one she hesitated over for several years. A few years ago, her eldest daughter-in-law fell ill; the family worried she would be upset and did not tell her at first, but she found out in the end. As she went through these things, she also talked about how she and her family are doing now.
As the interview was coming to an end, she said:
“Don’t think too much. Take it one day at a time, and just be happy!”
Those words still come back to me. She was willing to sit down and tell us about her life, and I’m grateful for that.
After Reading a Customer Story, What Would You Like to Ask?
Behind every customer story is a person’s life: where she lives, who is in her family, who stands by her when things happen. Looking back on that interview, these are the things I remember too.
Madam Peng is happy to share. When friends are interested, she gives them our contact details so they can call and ask for themselves.
When you read someone else’s story, you can take it as getting to know a person. If there is something you would like to know as well, you can start with the questions that matter to you.
Everyone who comes to us has something different in mind. Some want to see the packaging, some want to know how the three grades differ, and some want to go through the certification documents and test reports. All of this can be discussed in person when you book a visit to the store. There is no need to decide whether to buy right after reading a customer story.
Many People Ask Where Porcupine Bezoar Comes From
Friends who call us, the way Madam Peng’s friends did, and those who book a visit to the store often ask the same thing: where does this porcupine bezoar come from?
Miracle Medicine’s porcupine bezoar comes from the wild in Indonesia, where a team of around 300 deep-forest hunters catches the porcupines. Each porcupine is first X-ray scanned to confirm there is a bezoar inside, and only then does a veterinarian remove it surgically. After the surgery, the porcupine rests at a recovery facility for 2 to 4 weeks before it is released back into the wild.
In addition, Miracle Medicine holds five certifications: KKM-registered TCM practitioner consultation, Tested by Halvec Laboratories, GMP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018; compound products additionally hold MeSTI and HACCP. Every batch also undergoes independent third-party testing covering safety indicators such as heavy metals, and test reports can be requested.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, and we will explain based on the information we have.
Porcupine bezoar is a traditional natural health product, not a medicine, and it cannot be used to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. For health questions, please consult a professional. This article only records a customer’s sharing and product-related information.
